Triathlon FAQ
Aid Stations
Where are the aid stations?
There is only one aid station in this race at the
midway point of the run.
What is available at the aid stations?
Drinks will be available to all racers. There will be
cups of water and an energy drink similar to Gatorade.
What type of food will be available at the finish
line?
The food provided at the finish line depends on what
food donations we receive from local businesses.
Ususally we provide various breads, cookies, water,
energy drinks, oranges, and other items.
Bib Pick Up
Where and When can I pick up my bib and race
packet?
This has not been decided yet but usually occurs
during the week leading up to the race. Check back for
additional details.
Registration Changes
Can I change my race start time so I can race
with family or friends?
No - your race start time will be determined by your
bib number (click <<Course>> and then click
<<Swim Waves>>) and bib numbers are assigned
randomly. We encourage people who want to race
together to register together but we cannot ensure that
you will be able to race at the same time as your
family or friends.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my registration?
Unfortunately we are not able to refund any entry fees.
Timing
How will the timing for each racer work?
The clock starts when you enter the pool and stops
when you cross the finish line.
Are the transitions timed?
Yes - all transitions are timed. We encourage all racers
to practice transitioning before race day so you can do
your best on race day. Also, you can find some race
transition tips by clicking <<Course>> then by
clicking <<Rules>>.
There will be three separate times (one for each leg of
the triathlon) and an overall time listed in the official
race results.
How will I find out my official time?
The official results will be posted on our website
within a day or two after the race has concluded. We
will also send all racers a copy of the Official Race
Results by e-mail within several days after the race
has concluded.
Kids Race
Please refer to the <<Kids Race>> link for all
questions about the kids' race.
General
Do I need my own bike stand?
Yes - you will need to provide your own bike stand
for the race. You do not need to purchase one,
however. Here is a link to instructions on how to
construct your own bike stand:
What should I wear for the race?
You should wear clothes in which you are
comfortable. Some people like to change out of their
swim suit prior to the bike section while others wear
their swim suit for the duration of the race. Choose
something that is comfortable and meets your racing
needs.
